A Dungeon Alphabet Question

I’m very pleased to announce that The Dungeon Alphabet is heading for a third printing. Thanks to the interest of not only those who pitch their tents in the OSR camp, but to gamers of all ages and stripes who enjoy great art, useful tables, and low sticker prices, The Dungeon Alphabet remains a commercial success. I’m very pleased that so many gamers have embraced the book and consider it to be one of the better resources to have come out of the OSR in recent years.

To mark the occasion of a third printing, Joseph Goodman and I have been tossing around some ideas to make the next print run unique. But before anything is decided on, we thought we’d see if the readers who made the book a success had anything to say. So our question to you is “Readers, what would you like to see in a third printing of Dungeon Alphabet?" Some options are already on the table, but we’re interested in hearing from you before we forge ahead. Please feel free to use the comments section to leave your input or drop me a line at the email addy listed to the right. Thanks!

More content. Make all the tables d100.

Seconded.

I agree. More expansive.

Also, have Goodman pull some other old school artists out of the woodwork. Just throwing darts at a board here but is Truman still around? Pitch a tent outside of Trampier's cab.

Regardless, I think its a great idea.

Get that "GREAT PRICE $9.99" fake sticker travesty off the front cover art!

Other than that, increased table expansion is always good...

Golden ticket in some random number of books than wins a cool Marike Reimer mini.

Puzzle that can only be solved by rolling on the book's tables and visiting OSR blogs. Solution grants discount / prize of some sort.

Personally I'd like a soft cover option since I prefer sc and all my other books are that format...

Well of course it's heading for a third print, what else would you expect of the 2011 Three Castles Award winner for Excellence in RPG Design??? :)

I'm more likely to buy a sequel than to re-buy the book with extra table entries in it. I'd rather see 26 new alphabetical entries than see even more altar listings or more kinds of yellow things.

That doesn't help much for a third printing though, sorry . . .

"...A sequel to the Dungeon Alphabet, but a 300-400 page monster (Dungeon Encyclopedia?), would be awesome. What I imagine is a book full of alphabetically arranged dungeon element creation tables, even procedural tables for some, awesome illos, and essays for each subject by respected dungeon pundits such as Michael Curtis, Gabor Lux, Jeff Rients, Zak S., James Raggi, Matt Fitch, etc. Take the idea of the original Dungeon Alphabet and turn it up to 11, into a Dungeon Vornheim + Miscellaneaum of Cinder + Fight On + Alphabet + etc."

i agree with removing the great price "sticker", and adding more old school artwork, nothing like making it even more of a collectable.
how about an "intro to the 3rd edition by the author".

PLEASE please please take the awful GREAT PRICE "sticker" off the cover AND spine of the book. This is such a classy gorgeous book and obviously it didn't need that nonsense to sell.
